If they're anything like the "You've been sent an ecard.." sites then they
don't *appear* to have any content..... however this is while they are
trying to attack with av virus, trojon and 'bot program they can launch.

I trust your firewall is secure and your AV etc are up-to-date.

One of my neighbours rang me earlier to let me know that a dodgy Transit
van has been seen in the village and reported to Plod. Apparently, the
number plates are registered to a black Fiesta.

    Oh joy.

Excuse me while I make sure everything's loaded^W secure.

This'll be the same Dodger whose credit card has been used by persons
unknown over 20 times in the last week, yes?

    Oh.

    It is you then.

Have you given Linda the bright-lights-and-rubber-hose treatment with
    regards to the "phantom" transactions?

It probably wasn't her, but it's Christmas and it'll help pass the time
while you wait for the refunds.

Er, no. I don't wish to spend Xmas day under the decking. In bits.
Refunded (<=120) within 3 minutes of ringing 'em up. Luckily, they
thought it looked iffy, and barred it last Tuesday - since when four
grand's worth of transactions have been blocked.

Oh, and this all pre-dates that "critical error message" shenanigans
    by a few days.

No sense of adventure, some people.
Happened to my Shite Old Dad a couple of weeks ago. Petrol stations are
the current favourites for card skimmers, apparently.
