    6 of us having a long weekend (Fri,Sat, Sun) biking in South Wales this
    weekend
    Having trouble finding digs as Abergavenny has some food festival on and the
    whole area
    (inc Hereford) is fully booked.
    Can anyone recommend a place with at least 4 pubs and an inkling of talent
    to spot of an evening
    that might have room? B&B or Guest house stylie?
    4 travelling from Lincoln, 2 from Portsmouth so even distance would be good
    TIA

    Try something around Bromyard (15 miles past Worcester on the A44)

    I'd recommend this:

    And the Bay Horse (I think) on the main street (about 100 yards up the
    road from the falcon) used to do very nice accomodation.

    The Saracen's Head at Symonds Yat is convenient for the Forest of Dean;
    the food and beer used to be good. http://www.saracensheadinn.co.uk
