I'd be more concerned about the pain from the ribs and sternum if I
    were Bruce.

He's in the best place for him as far as recovery is concerned and
Bruce being what he is will try to look more at the positives than the
    negatives.

I've suffered from 'displaced vertebrae' and whilst not broken it's
still a fairly nasty injury. Your body compensates for weaknesses by
building up muscle to protect the damaged area. If he looks after
himself and does all the required physiotherapy then I'm sure he'll
recover fully. Where it falls apart is when the patient doesn't feel
like doing the physio "because it hurts" and ends up with a permanent
    problem.

He's got access to some pretty heavyweight drugs too, and all for free.

You'll be playing if you have pictures of the Mont Blanc massif on
your living room wall and you're ever stupid enough to let me near an
indelible marker at the same time as allowing me in your house.

    H marks the spot :)

Sad, this lack of detail IMHO. 'Tis a sign of the times I fear.

I don't think his insurance would cover taking him there.

  8. The physios I have been to following injuries etc have always been really
    fit young women...

Are you implying that, basically, if they weren't phsyios they'd be running
    torture parlours and the like....?

Actually, thinking about it, they'd have made even more money doing that,
    the evil minxes..... :)

Cool. I found your place by accident on Sunday. I was so pissed off
with the monotony of the M1, I peeled off and came down to the M25 via
    MK.

    Cheers

    Paul.

    noticed either.

  14. A clear lack of appreciation of the priorities one should have on such
    occasions, imo.

Actsherly... look at the links page:

"General biking links - uk.rec.motorcycles - Warning! This newsgroup
is mostly populated by hijackers who will destroy any biking related
thread that you start. You'll have more luck finding motorcycle info
at alt.badgers.flensing. However, you can pick up the odd useful
tid-bit here. Although it's in the 'uk' hierarchy, you may find some
Americans posting. I'm sorry, but I cannot be held responsible for
    this in any way."

    Fear.
