I don't think thata ny of them are right. Tapping the brakes could be
confusing and I have never seen anyone doing it. Personally, after
signaling (if necessary) I step a bit more on the gas, if that is safe
to do. It's better than slowing and probably better should the driver
two cars back step oot to pass, too. I can't quote anyone else who
does this, but it seems safer to me when I do it. Speed increase is
slight - 5 MPH or so, but deffinite.
This habit of mine may come from the nautical "Rules of the Road"
which say that changes of directions (and speed, IIRC) shall be
obvious (if other ships are about.)

You will notice the word "too" before "fast" but not before "slow."
Suppose the choice was "Too slow" and "fast," would your answer change?

Key word is "best," but you could create senarios to make B right.

I'll throw in a curve by throwing in a curve! (but pick "d"
    otherwise.)

A sweet young blonde I knew in Coventry laid her bike down and slid
under fuel lorry withiout harm (from portside to starboard.)

Just nail it before you change lanes - what are the chances of there being
something there that can keep up with you, eh? As long as you don't give
them prior warning, by signaling, you should have loads of space to move in
    to.

If you've got one of them slow bikes then I suppose you could just throw
whichever bit has most recently vibrated lose into the lane you're moving
to - that generally gets people to give you some space.

well if the answer is d for the one in front of me I am screwed... and if
the answer is a) compared to the vehicle behind me I am screwed again....
and if it is d and a for the one in front and the one behind me at the same
time then I am meat in the middle!!!!

Signal with your indicators, not your brake lights. Tapping the brakes
before a lane change is the act of an imbecile.

  11. And the very act that the California testing morons claim is correct.
Call them in person if you don't believe it.
