My flight leaves in about two and a half hours from
now. I'm wondering which pub the "Welcome GB to Adelaide"
drunks[1] are at? In town for the next four days, staying
up the top left corner somewhere I think.

[1] A typo, but it looked good, so I've left it that
    way.

    NEver did me any good.

Only time I ever got close to being picked up was at the Stag on a
Wednesday night which while flattering wasn't all that useful...

Ahhh well, life sucks :-/ maybe all the blokes gave up and turned gay ?
Let me guess, not flattering equals wrong gender ?

was flattering, but yes, wrong gender.

Something I never understand about blokes. They seem to think women
should be over the moon if a bloke the woman isn't interested in is
interested in her, but if a bloke they aren't interested in is
interested in them, it's time for bad language.

    Hi GB,

Welcome to the land of the long white anti-depressant capsule.

Will you be in the city on Fri-dee ?. I'll probably be heading to
the East end for an ale. Shoot me an SMS if you're around ;).
    It's 0401 846931.

I always welcome interstaters. The raise the states IQ.

I never understand women. Everytime they talk about relationships,
I have to resort to semantic analysis to work out what they are talking
about ;). How where's that flow chart !

  13. Will you be in the city on Fri-dee

I will not be, sorry. Arrived Monday lunchtime, pissing off Thursday
    night.
At the airport as we speak - came all the way out here to scam free
internet access, only to find that the same free internet access
    (actually
only 'web' access, hence the google groups/mail thing) is also
    available
at about eight places in town. Still, the view out the windows here is
bloody good (if you're an aeroplane geek like me!). A busload of
    punters
just clambered off a Shitfight Airways A320 (porn star, death star, jet
star - something like that) to my left...

I've got things a bit better sussed. I'm staying in some one-star poxy
    hotel
on North Terrace. The glorious grand national sir Stamford something-
or-other across the road from the casino. Heaps of pubs around - no
worries about dying of thirst here. The only real problem is finding
something to do for three more days while the missus trots off to her
wimmins conference ("Emasculating Men for Fun and Profit and
self-Empowerment Adelaide 2006" is the title (you have to use the word
"empowerment" in the title of women's conferences - it's the law).
You'd better believe, I'm fuckin' nervous staying in this hotel right
    now!).

Oh, and I found the Rossi boots factory, so it's all good. Nice folks,
gave me the name of a mob in the city that retails the boots I
want. New boots me today!!! <squeak> <squeak> <squeak>

If you also do ships, then the Maritime Museum at Port Adelaide's not
bad. Part of it's Nelcebee, an ocean going steam tug, 3rd oldest on
LLoyd's register, the triple expansion steam engine is worth a look.

Wander down to the Bike Factory at 212 Gouger and say hello to Phil
for me. I'd offer you a ride on the Devil but the lazy bugger's not
    re-registered it yet.

He might know who hires out motorcycles, you really do need to take a
    blast in the hills.

Boring. What you need to do GB is go down to Whitmore square,
drink pink lady and start a punch up. While in Rome, do as the Romans
    do.

I've just realised that Fridee is a public holiday. So, therefore,
I'll be in the city on a Thursdee instead. Anyway.. leave it with
    you ;)

    Cheers

Do you still need to wear a pink shirt to do a decent lunch in Adelaide?
