I've been riding my GSX600 and GS500 quite a lot over the past two weeks,
neglecting the 10r a bit. The GS500 is my training bike so I cover a lot of
miles on it. Today I took the 10R out. It was like being mugged and then
beaten up. It took me a little while to adjust to it. During the first 10
miles or I was thinking how utterly mad and over the top it is. What's the
point of all that power in such a flighty bike? After a while everything
kicked in and it all made perfect sense, I enjoyed myself. When I got back I
    was grinning a lot.

My GS500 can be described as a limp handshake, the 10R is a slap in the
face. It's brilliant, demanding, spiteful and loud. I love it.

The tune up has made a huge difference to the way the power is delivered.
