As a displacement activity I've been trying to get the garage
organised enough so I've got the space to start dismantling the ZXR.

I've found a bag with some brand new unworn Akito waterproof trousers
    as in the subject line.

I have absolutely no recollection of buying them. I presume they were
in preparation for the elephant, did I mention getting them here? Did
someone recommend them? I know I have an odd memory but you'd think
i'd have noticed. And why are they in the garage not with the bike
    kit?

I remember a thread where the Akito stuff was mentioned and I said that BGN
had some of their gear and it looked pretty good. I don't think the ones you
got will fit Nick though. Or anyone else on this froup.

As for why are they in the garage, well they were making a bid for freedom
    innit?

Have you started collecting stray cats yet?

I did the bringing home strays when I was younger - hmm, maybe it's
    some strange reverse aging process.

    I do this a lot. http://xkcd.com/231/

    Were they free?

I bought a (helmet? boots?) from a local stockist a few years ago and got a
pair of Akito trousers throw-in as part of the deal.
They're probably still in the loft somewhere.

Well, the clever buggers were free of a trip to a Bavarian winter
