    G'day

After a long Hiatus from Biking I have just picked a Brand new bike and got
    back on the road

My last bike the CX500 fondly named Beelzebub (if you were around in this
group 6 or so years ago you may know about why it was named so) did leave
its emotional scars so It took a while before I got a new one

A Matte Gundpowder Black Honda Firestorm, whom I have christened Triela.

Seeing as I am the finance companies bitch for the forseeable future I would
like to take the best precautions in ensureing that Triela remains mine and
mine alone. This is especially important as a friend has his YZR half-inched
last Saturday - 4 guys lifted onto a trailer at 3 AM Tuesday - that he
knows because the woman living in the Unit next to him saw it all, but
didn't call the police of tell him till after they had gone.

Apart from chaining Triela to the fence (an Internal one which I can park a
bike behind and not have it seen outside the property), Disc lock, and the
Immobilizer fitted as standard, I am looking at fitting an alarm of some
sort. Any suggestions to good ones (or Bad ones)

In the short term I am thinking along the line of this
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/XENA-XZ1-Mot...609134794QQcategoryZ32628QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But I wouldn't mind something with a tilt sensor to stop the bike being
    lifted

    Any suggestions?

    From the article:

"Call your insurance company and tell them you have an alarm!
    It could save you money."

... then when they find out you lied, it will cost you double.

Incorrect. Check with your insurance company. The Xena is actually as an
    alarm by some companies.

Try the Scorpion range of alarms or if you're inn Melbourne check with a
    company called No Limits.

It's classified as an alarm by some companies.

  5. Got one in my garage you can have for free if i can find it. I won it as a
prize at a bike rally couple of years back. The alarm works well, it
shrieks if it suffers any shock, trouble is the lock also unclips by itself
if it suffers any impact. Good paperweight.
