Ducati all nicely fettled and MOT'd. Engine reported as being "very
sweet" and fork settings tweakage has given more feel to the front end.
Will be picking it up on Saturday, bet it rains, but buggerit, it'll
need a good run :). Weekend can't come soon enough.

One of the first things I have to do when I get clearance to ride again,
is to change the belts on the Ducati.

  4. This is either home health and safety gone utterly mad or, you're denying
yourself hassle of dealing, perhaps unsuccessfully, with the temptation.
Which, in many respects, amounts to much the same thing.

    Eh?

The Duke is circa 8 miles away in my lockup.

  6. Then get the bitch to clear some space in the kitchen and get it fixed
    then.

My GP has advised me not to ride until June.

Now I could ignore this advice, but if I have an accident, it may get a
    bit messy.

  8. So it is a temptation issue?

I've thought that all this week, so I brought it forwards and went riding on
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and I'm about to **** off and do some
    more.

If it's *really* messy, you probably won't know a thing about it.

Now we can't have someone saying how great it is to work in Her Majesty's
Capital one day and then saying they're trapped there and want to get out on
    a motorbike the next.

Now up here in God's own country, the weather has been perfect and I've made
the best use of it :)

It's not great to work in the capital, unfortunately it's a necessary
    evil :-(

OTOH I love working in London. It's just a mind set.
On Thursday, I found myself walking across Tower Bridge, in the spring
sunshine, on the way to meet SWMBO for lunch sitting on the Thames path.

For me, it doesn't get *much* better than that.

Whereas I left Tavistock Square at around 3pm only to find the Euston Rd
    completely stationary.

For me it doesn't get much worse than that .
