    Jesus fucking christ....

And none of us will acknowledge the sacrific of the Soviet Union. As evil
    as Stalin was.

    Look up Tursk.

    http://zhukov.mitsi.com/Kursk.htm

And to keep this on topic, did the Russians buy or steal the design for the
    BMW opposed twin?

Who amongst us really knows WWII? I am only one generation removed and I
know shit, but I can hold a piece of German shrapnel that could have killed
my dad. It is an evil piece of metal.

"Grigory Konstantinovik Zhukov" that pup (160# at
1 year age is a caucasian breed.
Stole not just the design but the WHOLE factory,
    tools and stock.

History does not record anywhere at any time a
religion that has any rational basis. Religion is
a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up
to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff,
most people do have a religion and spend time and
money on it and seem to derive considerable
    pleasure from fiddling with it.

Apparently the Soviets reverse-engineered the R71 and made their own
which they called the M72. (Harley Davidson also did and called it the
    XA.)

"A more likely story is that the BMW factory supplied the construction
drawings and casting moulds. As a result of the Molotov-von Ribbentrop
Pact transfers of technology had taken place to support their Soviet
"friends" in different areas. Soviet engineers toured German aircraft
factories and brought back complete cannons as samples. The OPEL Kadett
was given to the Soviets just prior to the war, however it only
commenced series production towards the end of the war as the Moskvitch
    400.

"In 1941 BMW began series production of R75, and did not resume
production of R71. Supplying the Soviets with this superseded model
would have seemed a good idea at the time. This would also explain why
the Soviets ended up making a copy of the Wehrmacht sidecar.'"

Now after WWII the Soviet Union occupied the eastern part of Germany and
they did take stuff: factories, entire rail lines down the poles and
    wires.

Total dead during WWII: USA 300,000; UK 400,000; Germany 5,000,000 -
    Russia 25,000,000.

I think that's pretty plain, with no need for statistical analysis.

Possibly the site of Zhukov's comment on the Red Army soldiers shot
for cowardice: `It takes a brave man to be a coward in the Red Army.'

  9. Although it hides the fact that if Russia hadn't been in cahoots with
Germany at the beginning of WW2 it might never have happend at all.
It's far from certain WW2 would have kicked off at all if Hitler had
known he would have to fight on two fronts from day one.

Mind you, I 100 per cent agree with your point.

They did make it a lot worse than it had to be. It was cheaper to rush
the germans with waves of unarmed bodies than manufacture armaments )

Hmm, which goes against the belief that the reason for Hitler invading
Europe was a rouse to get Russia involved, and her forces spread out,
before he then went in and routed the country which, apparently, he
hated with the same passion he hated the Jews.

  14. He wanted Russia out of it until he had all of Europe squared away.
Britain kind of fucked that up for him by winning the Battle of
    Britain.

I think you can make a very strong case that Russia helped to start WW2
as well as being the key player in ending it.

This is probably the stupidest thing you've ever posted ;-)

Think Nazi-Soviet Pact. There was no way Stalin was going to come in on
    the Allied side.

He did try to sign a non-aggression pact with the Western powers but
they wouldn't play so he signed one with Hitler instead.

The discussion is whether or not WWII would have started if Hitler
hadn't persuaded Russia to side with him (it would) and if the reason he
did that was because his final intention was to attack them when they
were otherwise occupied (which, apparently, it was) - not
Russia/Stalin's reasons for joining Nazi Germany.

For example, the Russians didn't even bother to declare war on Japan until -
thumbs dog-eared pages of interweb - 8th August 1945, two days after
Hiroshima and the day before Nagasaki. The Nazis were always the only
    enemy.
