    Yes, they're the originals.
Perhaps that'll be a job for the weekend then. I'll comment on the
    fluid when it comes out.

The bike is quite nippy, and I had a weekend's worth of stuff with me.
Given a sunny day and some enthusiasm I was enjoying the performance of
    the bike.

As it was a series of NSL roundabouts I was choosing the accelerate
hard, brake hard method. I didn't buy the bike to tease it up to a
    heady 35mph. <g>

See other replys about clutches, etc.

Well said that argumentative type. But...

....change "much" for "any" and you have my total agreement.

What? I'm not argumentative. Who the **** are you to call me
    argumentative?
Hmm. I did wonder about this, but decided that as even the best racers
often have short stretches of half-open throttle, where they're
balancing the speed with the grip available, they must be using engine
    braking to a certain extent.

The only place that is likely to happen is in a bend which is shaped
such that The Ivanic Force is not slowing you sufficiently to cope with
    a slight tightening.

Under those circumstances yes but trailing the back brake is the norm
    for coping with this innit?

Thanks Dodger. The voice of reason.

I actually was answering to the 'it's become a road problem too'

If you're stoppying it into the bend on the road, you're going too
    fast for the corner IMHO..

Arse. these new fangled bikes ;)
True, I wheeled it out as more of an example of hauling up
consistently 210Kg of bike that's really not suited to the track.

Anyway, seems to have caused a bit of foaming at the mouth, so
    MWHID ;)

Why do you think I bought the 05? It's great fun, and it makes me
woo-hoo just about every time I go out on it.

6 months old ? could be 1% water in the line according to this. I
found it on the web therefore it's true ;)

    What's the fluid specced for the bike ? ; Dot4 [1] or Dot5 ?

Over a relatively short period of time, brake fluid will absorb
moisture from the air. A field study, conducted by the Society of
Automotive Engineers (SAE), indicated that an average one-year-old car
has two-percent moisture in its brake fluid. A random test of vehicles
in the U.S. showed an average water content of 2.6% for cars with an
average age of eight years. A water content of four-percent,
dangerously high, was found in 25% of these cars.

    p

if [1] you could try a high spec dot4 such as :

    http://www.moto-racing.co.uk/item--Brembo-LCF-Brake-Fluid-04-8164-11--Brembo+Brake+Fluids.html

    But it's fearsome expensive.
