    Consider that a Duke 996 weighs 190 odd kilos. 210 isn't lardy for a
    pipe and slippers tourer

    Hog says...
Most 996s are owned by overweight company director types, so the weight
saving of all that carbon fibre is negated by the huge lardy bastard who
drags it out of the garage twice a year. Us year round riders don't
worry about little things like that.

  4. Sort of similar to giving someone a cheery wave then noticing the hair
    pin?

Well, leaving the braking a bit late, perhaps. Of course, this may
equate to going too fast for the corner, and indeed may also equate to
flying through the air at a vast rate, but not necessarily.

  6. Yeah, I hate accidentally waving to OAPs. Or is that hat-pins?...

I've put some 'decent' dot4 in to replace the old but if I'm still
getting brake fade I'll probably change the fluid again and hose money
at it whilst I'm doing it. It's getting HH pads when the originals
need changing and that usually helps a lot.

That's why those of us with the 'proper' version will be hanging onto
    them.
