Ok, this is how it is.

MCN owned the Ally Pally show. Last year they announced they couldn't
hold it Ally Pally because the building wasn't available and that it
wouldn't be available again, so they were moving the show to Excel.

Soon after this announcement Superbike Magazine decided they would see
if this was true and booked the Ally Pally for the same time that it
would have been held, had MCN not lied about not being able to get the
building. Superbike have decided to turn it back to being a Road Race
and Superbike show, much the same as it was in days gone by, but held
only over three days. They say they will be giving preference to traders
who sell road race and superbike associated items, rather than the
    worthless tat usually seen there.

MCN have continued with the Excel show, but being the owners of all the
major publications, have not taken any adverts for Superbike's Ally
Pally show and have actively been misinforming people about it with
their "Ally Pally Show is dead" campaign. In short, in typical MCN style
    they've been cunts.

I'll be at Ally Pally, but I won't put money into the pockets of those
cunts at MCN if I can possibly help it.

  3. Interesting. I go to Antiques Fairs at Ally Pally. The people who run them
have pulled out of it as a venue: apparently, the management company
changed, upped the prices a heck of a lot, so the fair pulled out .

MCN lied when they said the building's owners couldn't let them hire the
place, simple as that. Proven when Superbike walked in and hired it
    instead.

  6. I can believe that: MCN probably weren't willing to pay whatever the new
market rate is. I *very* much doubt that the thing was unavailable, as
    proven.

4 of us going to Ally Pally on Saturday coming and 3 of us going to
    Excel Friday week.

We always preferred the old Ally Pally show but want to test both. Like
    you Lozzo,
we hate putting anything into MCN and they should be ashamed of their
    advertising.
