I make sure that I have what I call Primary security. I own a BMW.

The way I figure it, anyone who wanted a BMW wouldn't pinch one, and
anyone who would pinch a bike wouldn't pinch a BMW!

Used to have a disc lock but havn't used it for yonks, and never had a
    problem.

So if security is a problem the answer to your question is chuck the
    jappa and buy a BMW.

No, 'tis not I! I'm not silly enough to go painting a motorcycle.
    (One was enough!)

A bloke on another forum just made a stolen-bike post about his KLR650.

    They'll take anything.

....I was about to say something about how I park my bike next to a
building full of coppers, but then I remembered what Paul Winfield's
police lieutenant said to Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor in the original
"Terminator"; "Relax. There are over thirty cops in this building."

Well, if you remember, the sequel does have a line in it which goes, "I
need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle."

"I need your boots, your clothes, your motorcycle and if it isn't too much
of a bother could you take up the hem on your jeans?"
