As has been mentioned, its a natural progression from R1 which I find
dreary dross. Except for Steve Wrights Lovey Dovey Sunday Shite. He
should be shot for crimes against humanity.

 

Nowt wrong with that, bit of old style rock is what we all need.

 

Surely that's just because the records we heard when were young were on
R1 because they were "new" and now that they're as old as us, they're
on R2?
