Today I saw, on the A406/A5 roundabout, a pan euro with a pillion and a sidecar with 2 kids in it!
My dad used to take my brother and I to school in a sidecar. He had a Jawa 350 combination that had the sidecar on the wrong (ie the right) side. This meant he had to ride close to the kerb and couldn't see that well to overtake. When we were on traffic he used to just stick the sidecar over the white line and rely on a lack of screaming from my brother and I to indicate it was safe to overtake. This worked up until the day there was a bus coming the other way and we were both to terrified to manage a scream. Happy days.
The varlet known as curium did proclaim to all assembled: Strangely there was a pan outfit @ the Traff Centre, today.... bloo, it was..... Bored
Saw and smelled someone overcook a clutch. I could tell who it was but that wouldn't be fair to you, would it FJ... -- Spete www.gimmemoney.mine.nu www.spete.homeip.net Occasionally, I'll be consistent
Yep, A maroon one at that. It went to the NSPCC PR Ride and we met up with them. There were a number of Combi's there. Brilliant ride, even though I know you heathens hate the NSPCC. Over 350 bikes. 150 bikes got tea at the HOP and we had a great behind the scenes tour of the gaff. Police escorted ride through the Centre of London to get there from the Ace cafe. And, an even better ride back to the ace after. The police were kind enough to escort us back. No stopping at red lights or junctions or owt. Not sure whether the Gatso's got us as we were making "good progress" at some points! Met Mr Fogarty, he was leading the ride with Mark Wilsmore the owner of the Ace. Carl was riding the FP1, and had to keep a fairly brisk pace as it was overheating doing less than 40-ish apparently. Mark was riding one of the new Triumph Thruxton cafe racers. Oh yeah, and the ride raised around £26K for the charity. I suppose this is now gonna start another BNP thread up? So anybody fancy organising a ride in aid of the BNP?? ;o)
