About to get my leg over again after a break of 6 years (no jokes
please!) and find myself feeling a bit wimpish. Worried about extra
traffic on the roads with less respect for bikers than ever and also
grip or lack of it due to diesel, poor road condition etc. Is it just me
(at 45 yrs old) or have I every right to be concerned? BTW it`s to be a
07 Bandit 650 so tyre suggestions more than welcome for a short
    commute/weekend blast rider.

    Cheers,
    Paul

  2. Track day? I'm going to book a couple when my bike is back on the road. I'm
going to do a Bikesafe course as well - different mentality perhaps, but
perhaps not and I'd like to learn as much as I can.

Not that I lack confidence in London conditions but I know I could ride five
times better. It's good that you recognised the wimpishness in you and
want to do something - if you feel wimpish, it's a bit of a catch-22 and it
will stop you riding as safely and smoothly as you would otherwise.

I now leave it to others to take the piss.

If in doubt go for a couple of half hour refresher lessons with your
friendly local motorbike training company. Won't do any harm to be
reminded to do your life savers and give you time to regain your
    indestructibility ;-) .
