An interesting morning. Two-tyre blowout on the M25 at around 70mph!

Yeah more like 500 a piece, though breakers should have plenty of,
common enough bike. Plus 180 for tyres.
Would need to be reformed and heat treated. Not impossible but if used
wheels are to be had, a better idea.

Thank **** it wasn't your Ducati.

It could easily turn out there's some other damage he's not noticed yet
    - if the bump was big enough to do that to the rims isn't it likely the
suspension bottomed out pretty hard as well?

On my Bandit, it's a disc that's in the centre of the brake disc, so
unless it affects the disc mounts and makes them a bigger diameter, I
can't see how the wheel would be any different from a non-ABS bike.

    I'm down to 75kg myself. I'm thinner than I've been since I was a
teenager, but the BMI calculaters still call me in as "overweight".

I think I'll go with the standard "big bones" excuse.

I've decided to go down the insurance route and just accept a hit on future
premiums. Even if the wheels are repairable (and I share your doubts),
there is the hassle of getting them off, getting the tyres off, getting them
to the repairer, returning to pick them up possibly days or weeks later,
then getting new tyres, then re-fitting. I have also noticed a slight scuff
where I had to kean it against the armco, which is more hassle to get
sorted. I also want to be sure that nothing else got damaged by the impact.
I don't think that the suspension bottomed out but it has crossed my mind
that there could be other damage which is not yet apparent. I think I would
rather just let somebody else take it away and bring it back fixed and
    valeted.

At 6' 0" I appear to be overweight but not obese. It seems that I need to
lose 2 stone (13Kg approx) to have a "healthy" weight.

Eeek, with added Wow, and side-serving of Lucky Bastard
If they're genuine Suzuki wheels (does anyone make aftermarket ones?),
my guess is closer to a grand, actually.
