"There are now more overweight people across the world than hungry ones"

I think UKRM proves the point really <burp>
Something about the USA always puts a stone onto a (normally) rock
    steady constitution.

  4. Speak for yourself! ahem...

One of the google ads that's just flashed by this thread is a little
    odd:

"Register Now For Online Training In Child Obesity.

I mean, you only have to look around the streets of US/UK to see it's
apparently not rocket science. Thinking on, some of the kids at the
beaches of Cornwall were so far beyond "puppy fat" it wasn't funny. I'm
surprised they had the energy to wad^h^h^Paddle.

I spent a day in White Water world in Atlanta and was amazed that the
great majority of the teenage bints, white and coloured, were rather fit
as were most of the MILFS. Obesity appears to be a regional phenomena in
    the States.

Ah very good point, didn't think of it that way as said 'Merkins appear
to suffer little embarrassment about their obesity.

Cliffhanger, 74' freefall water 'chute was rather amusing.

  9. I was all ready to book flights, hotels etc etc, then I realised it was just
a chain restaurant, and not a theme park.

Unlike http://www.potatoworld.ca/ which sounds like a waste of 7minutes of
    your life.....

The last time I was in Florida there seemed to be two types of our American
cousins the ones who waddled from burgerking to Macdonalds stopping only to
scoff a KFC and the YM's who were up at dawn to jog six miles before
tucking into a leafy salad and mineral water. There didn't seem to be any
    in-betweens.

It looked like a class thing to be, the better off you were the fitter you
    got.

I think you're right, but it's interesting to note that swimming pools
in the UK seem to have at least, if not more than, the average number of
    obese people.

Yes, right on the button. There do only seem to be two sorts of merkin
body shapes to choose from and it is very obvious. However the trend
seems to be setting in, in these parts recently.

It is a class thing. And in particular it is to do with how the poor
(less well educated) view food economy. In their view a burger is a
"better" meal for the money than a couple of pounds of fruit and veg.
