It looks like I'm being set up to spend a several of months at
CERN on LTA (long-term attachment), which creates a few problems, not
least of which is the fact that I took the almost-unprecedented step of
renouncing permanent residency there when I came across to UCL in 2000.
The other problem is my house; the gardens suffered terribly when I spent
3 months at CERN a few years ago (I've almost got the side lawn back into
shape, but I just abandoned the back yard, especially after a tree blew
down across it). I'll need to find a very reliable house-sitter if I do go.
Preferably a keen gardener and house-proud with it...
