"A pregnant woman says she was left sobbing in the rain after police stopped
her car and towed it away.
Helen Parry said North Wales Police wrongly thought she had no insurance on
her father's car, and gave her a £200 penalty with six points on her
    licence.

Clwyd West MP David Jones, who says he has seen a valid insurance document,
is to raise the issue in the Commons. "

    In
:) Parry is from Ap Harry, translates as "son of Harry". So Harry must've
    had a fast bike.

Most of the other surnames are usually derived from christian names because
in Wales there was'nt a surname system in place, but the English tax system
demanded surnames so names such as Evans,Thomas, Roberts, Lloyd, Jones
(John), Davids (Davies), Williams etc came into use from parental christian
    names.

  4. Wankers. Only shows up how some thick bullying cunts give all coppers a
bad name. Mind you, it's from the top down in that force.

Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the
river cleaned out in a day.

  5. Almost all Welsh surnames that start with a P came about the same way -
some English judge got tired of the Welsh men coming into his court
and reciting their genealogy back to the 15th ancestor and decreed
    that they just use one..
And as you say the 'Ap' turned into 'P'.
