    Yes it's the Wooses bike. I can't remember who was riding it at the time, but Woose was commentating at the time and talking about
    it being ridden carefully as the tyres were probably pretty hard with age.

    Flying Fred Merkel; the original '88 World Superbike champion (and '89 champ
    too).
    He is the only one to win on an RC30.
    I don't think he was worried too much about the tyres either judging by the
    amount of smoke I saw at MG corner!!

    Now I didn't hear it but Rockit and his delightful daughter Jo (she has a
    brand of leathers named after her) assured me that later on the commentators
    were talking about who else had ridden RC30s; people like Troy Corser and
    Anthony Gobert in Aussie Supers, and Simon Crafar etc etc. and CLEM
    DOHERTY!!!

    I just want to ride one again..
    rode an ex-team honda one at a practice day at oran yrs back... it was
    very ex honda at this time, second owner since the HRC owned...,

    husband and wife used to race it, he was B grade, and did pretty well,
    cant remember his fuckin name. but remember his missus tits though.

    Very nice, and the sound.......
