    EPR. It is a PWR.
    AP1000 is a PWR (G3)

3 Mile Island PWR... though that was a good old Babcock up.

Naturally G3 is comprehensively re-engineered with simplified safety
    systems. Isn't it children.

Good to know we have such creative imagination.

  4. To be fair their (french) reactors
seem safe and reliable compared to others...

I wouldn't know about that, but French contributions to automotive
technology are numerous. Pioneers like Panhard and Michelin. Cars like
Minerva, Hispano, Citroen, (although the famous 2CV was based on Posche's
designs when he was interned for war reparations).
The French contributions to science include many names still used today as
measurement systems, like Curie, Volta, Joule, etc.
Alll of this was erased by Renault's "contribitions" to the Jeep Cherokee.

A quick google suggests those rumours are strongest around the Renault
    4cv.

Oh sure that might work easily FSVOEasily in GB. Now let's see you
figure out how to do that when the country takes up half a damned
continent. I can think of at least 5 countries like that...one of
which does take up an entire continent.

Your concept works for small areas only...further things get apart the
more stupid and pig headed those other folk get. As an example,
California, stupid, pig headed stalanists and that is just the normal
    ones.

I give up...I'm going to drink heavily and ride motorcycles on snow in
sub artic temperatures. I might even get dressed first.

  10. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, S'mee
I do love it when Americans call California "Stalinist".

    It makes me laugh.

Really? They usually spell it "Kalifornia", if that helps.
It means they're not terribly bright, and / or are clutching at the
dissipating threads of a lost argument.

Nice try nige...only difference between the poiilticians in calipornia
and uncle joe (hope the fucker suffered) they are afraid to eliminate
excess population and or anyone they don't like. 8^)

For that matter who cares about those freaks anyway? Been there saw
that and frankly it was the second most underwhelming place I've ever
been, Paris being the most underwhelming.

"In the 1990s, the United Kingdom Atomic Energy
Authority started to implement plans to
decommission, disassemble and clean up both
piles; the decommissioning is now partially
complete. However, Pile 1 still contains about 15
tonnes (14.76 L/T) of highly unstable uranium
fuel, and final completion of the decommissioning
is not expected until at least 2037."

Out of sight, out of mind, eh?

Well, I didn't think it fair to call them socialist scum in this
thread as it is cross posted. <shrug> Then again I've always figured
the US has been trying to slowly creep it's way to being a socialist
country since the early 1930's instead of remaining the represenative
republic it started as. It's rather interesting as the sheep haven't
    even noticed it creeping up.

Mind, it's not likely a plan rather an perverted evolution...wtf needs
    nationalized...shut up keith.
Well simple minds are entertained and you would know best how simple
    minded you can be.
