    I thought it was a complete mess. And I found the whole concept of
    leaving Rose with a "substitute" really creepy.

    Not watched much of this season as I don't like Tate, but if this
    storyline is an example of where it's gone I have missed a lot.

    The legislation would have to be framed to define him as a passenger, and as
    such, he'd need to be sat on the pillion seat and able to reach the
    footrests. I'm not sure whether the helmet law includes a specification for
    dogs. I'd be minded to assert that he should be considered to be
    livestock - you don't see animals in the backs of lorries wearing seatbelts.
    Although that could open up a whole new can of (inadequately-restrained)
    worms.
