Maybe telling my boss I quit[1] wasn't the best thing to do right now.

[1] I actually used the phrase "I don't have to take this amount of
shit for the pittance you pay me". Something I've wanted to say in the
    past but never did.

You never know. I had a bit of a blow up at my boss a while ago and we get
on far better since that than we ever did before.

Never a good thing to say until you've lined up something else.

Loz, just call it fortuitous behahiour, 'it's better to burn out than to
fade away' as some immortal **** once said.

Saw a very nice bike today, you'll love it. BMW F800R, made for you it was.

You're reading it wrongly. It's the F-BOOR, made especially with you in

They were, or rather one of them was. The other one was fine. The
arsehole one had 2 weeks off when his missus gave birth, and when he
was away the place ran so smoothly. He came back on Monday and it's
    been absolute chaos since.

He reminds me of an Indian David Brent.

After a 5 minute discusson[1] about how we could move sales forward I
was told I lacked drive and enthusiasm, despite doubling the amount of
good active accounts in the month I've actually been out there selling
for a maximum of 2 hours a day maybe 3 days a week. Before I started
they had managed to get 9 good active accounts in 8 months. My boss,
who has spent the last 10 years developing software, not selling or
managing people, then told me he was a better salesman than me. At that
point I lost my temper. It was a slam hands down on table, stand up and
lean forward and say very loudly but not shouty "If you think you can
do better, go ahead and fucking do it alone. I've just spent the past
month trying to rebuild the bridges you burnt by being so fucking
obnoxious to everyone you spoke to. I don't have to take this much shit
for the pittance you pay me... I quit - no fucker talks to me like
that...no-one". I turned, opened the door and let it close loudly
behind, went downstairs, through the shop and drove off.

[1]I use the word 'discussion' in the loosest possible way, I was
shouted down and insulted every time I opened my mouth.

'Ang on a mo' Loz, wasn't this supposed to be the job to end all jobs not so
    long ago?

Working with sprogs and bikes and whatnot?

This was the best paying and nearest job of the ones he was offered a
    couple of weeks ago, iirc.
