My son was born this morning. 7lb 10.5oz.

Mum and baby in perfect health, and I'm extremely proud of her.

Well done to all. The next few years will be a blast.

What's terrifying is that it only seems like yesterday that I announced
Horse's arrival to UKRM and he's off to secondary school this year

  7. Congrats. Although you may not think that after a few months of sleep
    deprivation.

Indeed. From nappies to Nikes in the twinkling of an eye.

Expect a very significant change once he gets to secondary school.

Without wishing to be curmudgeonly about this, could you please
explain exactly what they've 'done well'? I mean, Ben just did what
comes naturally to all men, his wife just had to lie there in pain for
quite a while and squeeze. Is there any way that either of them could
    have done it less well?

The more work you put in now (pre 2 yrs old) the easier
    those difficult years will be.
    Enjoy.

Both of mine were around that tare.

Amazed me how they came out of something relatively small.

Mined ewe, now they're 21 and 19 'tis but a distant memory.
