Aunty Carole had not got around to actually sending me my renewal quote. So I rang today, surprise surprise the best deal was with Grouperama. But 60ukp more than last year. So I queried it. And apparently it was because I renewed via online last year. Obviously it would be silly to go through all the hassle of getting an online quote and ringing back. And the droid agreed, went to see an underwriter and can back with a quote 54ukp less. 163 for the year, FC, protected NC, 200ukp excess on the XJR. Happy bunny again :-)
