    Doug Hacking's in Notlob.

Been a bike shop for donkey's, but the old man (Doug) died a couple of years
ago and there's now a sign outside say that due to crime and the recession,
they've hung up their collective boots.

They had a great selection of bikes, but were primarily a Kwak dealership.
Bikes dating back years were always available and on show and the even had
one of those God awful "streamliner" Beemer things that should've been
buried at birth. The repair shop's gone too and the blokes who worked there
    were *fucking* handy to know.

The girls who worked the spares and clothes section were brilliant to deal
with and I hope they've all found work somewhere else, but I doubt it.

    Ah **** it.

I remember Doug Hacking , I used to wander around there a fair bit when
I was a lot younger. A BMW dealer as well IIRC. Shame they've closed.
Maybe if I'd actually bought something rather than just hanging about...

There were originally, then they moved around the corner about 10 years
ago I think. Its been a while since I've been back to Bolton.

I used to peer in the window excitedly as a whipper snapper of 6 or so.
So it's kind of a long time ago.
