  1. Heh. Well, I was thinking of not replacing anything except gaskets,
    seals and camchain bits.

    What cost £800, then?

    Surely you jest. My experience of Japanese prices is that must be just
    the bloody gaskets!

    I'm pretty sure just replacing the valves and guides in my Guzzi LM heads
    was more than that.

  5. Pattern complete gasket set is £40-50. Camchain and tensioners another
    £50-60. A few oil seals, new oil filter, bits and bobs: £250 is about
    right.

    Gets pricey when you start replacing pistons, rings and the prinary
    chain, let along gearbox parts (but 've never actually heard of a
    gearbox breaking).
