    A much more
How true. It's complete and utter shit. May as well lick things and stick
them to the wall. About as useful as bluetack for holding the Severn Bridge
    up.

Probably wouldn't sell as well if they used that as their slogan.

Let me guess, you've never used it?
All my dado rails and skirtings are held by this. It really has to be
chiselled off. The only time it failed on me was when I first used it
for a coat rail, and it fell down ripping the emulsion off with it,
taught me to score the wall first. Excellent product.

  4. Please tell me what is a UKRM member? Am I one? I don't remember joining
    anything.
    Here it's "No más clavos".

  5. I've used it to stick conduit type stuff to a wall made of rocks. Seems
to work. Cheap, no mess etc.

No, if you put it to fix something to another thing, the lowest
strength of the adhesion is the strength of the bond. As I said, it
pulled the emulsion of the wall. I scored the plaster wall with a
trowel and fixed the hanger ,wood to plaster wall, it never budged
despite having heavy weights on it.
Use it right and it is excellent. I have my bog roll holder, towel
rail, and bathroom cabinet held up on tiles. Another thing I used it
for was fixing the tiles on the roof, You can tell I get it for nowt :)

Thanks for the advice. Mine is sat in the back of my garage filed under
"useless but kept anyway just in case". Maybe I'll give it another go
    someday.

It's like a penis, only smaller. They're usually found in the vicinity
    of Spanish swimming pools.

If one has a "members abroad" then one could consider all contributers
and readers as members in one way or another.

Talking of out to lunch, I'm going to be in London (SE1) on Wednesday
(2nd Nov) visiting Verdi in the morning/early afternoon. Once I've
waved goodbye to him I'm either going to piss off back home or going
to look for lunch/something exciting to do. Are you available on
    Wednesday afternoon? Fancy doing lunch?

I can't tell where I'm going to be. What time on Wednesday were you
    thinking?

It's likely to be early afternoon. Verdi's going to the Tate Modern
and we're swapping bikes on the way up. Tate opens at 10am, so I
assume we'll get there at about 11am or thereabouts. I can then get
lost in London for 90 minutes going around in circles so how does 1pm
    sound?

I can't remember the last time I finished at 1pm, let alone being home
and down to SE London by then.

    Sorry :(

I'm still owed a week off which I have to take by Christmas so if you
want to sort something out in the way of munchery then I'll get the
    holiday form booked in.

  20. You and Bear should get together and have little chats about my
(obviously very memorable) nob. Anyone else having problems shaking off
the memory of *that* picture? Did anyone save it as their wallpaper?
