    Hi folks.

Can anyone recommend a reasonable tyre shop, with fitting, in the
    Adelaide area?

I'm heading to Adelaide on Monday, leaving on return trip Thursday.

The tyres on the Beemer look OK at the moment, but, just in case I need
fresh ones fitted, it would be good if I have an idea where to go.

    North-ish of Adelaide preferred.

Last time I bought a tyre in Adelaide, I found a really good place,
totally by accident, on the main road towards Adelaide in Salsbury, but
that was over twenty years ago, so they may have moved on. ;-)

    regards,

Um yes, but don't remember the name of the place. It's on Highway one, on
your left as you're going North. On a corner. Before Gepps Cross. Sorry for
the haziness, let me try to find it in the Telstra pages.

    Fairly sure it's this one
    G C Motorcycles
    Motorcycle tyre fitting specialist (08) 8344 7888
    122 Main North Rd
    ProspectSA5082

I've bought at least three tyres there, the service and the range were
excellent and discount for Ulysses members.

The only trouble with them is that each time I bought a tyre there It
    started raining before I left.

So that'll be the drought-breaking years of '29, '33 and not
forgetting the big one of' '48.

You don't buy tyres much. Suggest stay out of QLD for a while.

    Thanks for that Theo.

I hope not to need them, but, you never know.

Rain, so long as it isn't the serious flood everywhere type, is OK,
since I'll be on the BMW, not the Triumph, which might melt if it gets
    wet.

Yep, a big +1 on them. Well before Gepps Cross, as it happens :)

I was on the way from the Island to Perth each time I bought a tyre there.
It looked pretty damn close to Gepps Cross to me.

In Adelaide terms Prospect is not that close to Gepps Cross.

In Nullabor crossing terms it's next door.
