£250 fully comp on the NS *with* the 500 kit fitted and the Jolly Moto
Spannies (even though I told 'em it'll increase power by between 50-75% over
stock (I hope) ) and zero NCB as I've kept that on the Daytona......

    'Classic' bikes rock![1]

[1] As the Daytona, with 8 yrs NCB and much better brakes/suspension etc
and, tbh a top speed only slightly higher than the NS is £500-odd (I can't
remember exactly how much...) and it's worth less (on paper).....

  2. Does a NCB count towards a classic bike? Next renewal my bike will be 15
    years old.

Nope, but the classic premiums are pretty low.

AFAIK, NCB is NCB regardless of what bike you use it on... If I didn't have
the Daytona they'd have given me the 8 years NCB on the NS.

  6. So I could lose my NCB if I don't have another newer bike? Thats's a bit
    shite.

  7. Let's hope so then, eh? A classic policy with my NCB would be a nice way
    to start a new year.

I dunno. Auntie Carole wouldn't give me any NCB credit when I insured
the Pacemaker with them[1]. Then again, given the remarkably small pile
of pennies it cost, I doubt I would have noticed.

[1]NCB is applicable to one policy only I think was their excuse.

You're welcome to insure my CG125 for your 'newer bike' should you need
    to. ;)

NCB isn't applied to classic policies.

Make sure it includes accidental death by rake.... :)

PS. You don't *have* to max it out everywhere if you don't want to at the
BOSM.... That said, obv. I will be riding with you on 'your' FZR250 and I
*will* be doing 19,000rpm all the time... :))

I was mid-flow replying how shite that is, when I realised that, of course,
getting bits for the NS is fucking difficult to impossible...

So they won't want to give anyone a discount on inswearance as, the first
claim you make, it's a total write-off innit on the ' not economical to
    repair' basis....

Not IME. You send CN the letter of no claims bonus from your current
insurers; if you should decide to move brokers in the future they will
provide you a letter stating the total number of years you have claim
    free.

That's what they did when I sold the Saab and bought a van.

Yehbut... I've not got 'big hair' now.
You'll be far quicker on that than me on the 500, no question. :)

Heh.. I hope it holds together long enough to do BOSM. Apparently, the
FZR250RR engine is ok for 21,000 rpm, coz that's what the racing people
    take them to.

  15. OK cheers. I thought there was a three year limit but in all probability
I'll have another bike by then anyway.
I want to see if they'll stick my bike on with the van this year. When I
took the van policy they said they couldn't do six wheel policies for
commercial vehicles even though my van isn't used for business. Things
might have changed come April so I'll give 'em a whirl.
