I finally got around to transferring the rego to NSW today, and it wasn't anywhere near the bad experience I was half-expecting, even if there was an incredible amount of stuffing around involved. I called up the RTA to find out who did blue slip inspections in Bathurst, and was given 3 businesses - one of whom can't do them, because while he has done the courses etc, hasn't yet got the paperwork and isn't official; and another whom I couldn't get hold of, but was told by my mechanic had had his certification revoked. The useless gits at the RTA didn't even know about the fourth guy in town who could do the inspections, although the local people did. Anyway, the inspection was more like a routine check-up at the doctors than the root-canal work at the dentists I had half expected, and even cost less than I thought it would. Sorting out the green slip was even better! The inspection guy was an agent for QBE, who wanted well over 0, so I went home and got online and found that NRMA would give it to me for only 2, so back into town I went to get that, and then over to the RTA where for only 4 extra (including the cost of the new plate), my bike was then fully registered in NSW, for a total of 6 - beats the hell out of the 8 it would have cost me in the ACT, even with the extra for the plate!! Mind you, in the ACT the whole process would have been a damn sight easier, but for a saving like that, I can certainly handle a bit of running around. All up, about two and a half hours and 0 and I don't have to worry about anything more until it all comes up for renewal next year. I never thought I'd live to see the day when I'd be happy to pay rego, but it seems that day has come after all! :-) Damien GPX250 (stolen) -> CBR600
