seems like a classic and very interesting road-course, not unlike
laguna. not sure if the facilites are up to snuff. perhaps
runoff/safety could need to be improved, as well.

that the track is in the middle of hick-nation, wouldnt help - i know,
i grew up in the area.

  2. I just noticed that this hasn't been mentioned so I thought I would
throw it out there as a RA supporter. Road America is currently in the
process of constructing an all new paddock/facilities center to replace
their old "paddock" (parking lot littered with team trucks/RVs). I
attended the 2006 AMA event there and they had made some progress and I
would assume they will complete the project by 2007.

Secondly, I understand that whoever is running the show at RA now has a
goal of getting a World Championship event. The person didn't say which
series but that kind of goal can only lead to good things at RA. This
same RA representative sat down with various AMA riders (Mladin, the
Bostroms and Duhamel come to mind) to discuss what safety changes need
to be made to make the track safe. After their 30 minute sit down to
discuss these changes, the group took a two hour track walk so the
riders could show RA exactly what needs to be done in what areas.

I just thought that was some good info that hasn't been mentioned.
Hopefully they follow through and get some world class events in this
country at locations other than Laguna Seca and Indy.
