something like that. One of the group's regular's posted about having
crashed, and blamed - in apparent seriousness - an apple core in the
road. Lots of other regulars missed the joke, and launched into an
attack on the guy's riding/ the physics of a bike sliding on an apple
    core etc.

Trevor Dennis was involved in some way, I'm sure.

    You inconsiderate twat.

You could have lobbed it *before* I splashed out on Chimay ferry
    tickets.

I was, but the plate glass window defeated my attempt by breaking before I
did. Wouldn't happen these days with the advent of toughened glass though.

Hey Statto, glad to hear you're in one piece and hope the injuries heal
    quickly. Keep taking the painkillers.

You'll have to settle for bottled Chimay. GWS.

Cheers - won't be the same without the aural pleasures of bike racing
to go with the Bleu, Rouge and Trippel.

Drink enough and you'll be there in sprit. Now if it were on Eurosport
or similar you could settle down in a comfy chair bottle in hand.
