    Unfortunately it's not that common for local authority rat catchers to
    go into lofts, as they aren't insured.

    My missus had to go up and retrieve a pick and mix of assorted rodent
    turds for the bloke to analyse from the safety of our landing.

    I did take a quick peek in the tank; it's covered but not vermin
    proof.

    We'll get the pest people in and find out for sure. I just don't have
    the time or the inclination to sort out holes in soffits and all that
    shit. Unless, that is, the pest bods want a small fortune, in which
    case I'll use that as a justification for DIY and getting another air
    rifle.
