Anyone else silly enough to ride a bike into work today?

Only really pikey 'Sunny' ones on steel rims. It means I will also have
a spare now for the Mazda 6 instead of relying on a pump and goo.

I could have crawled it with pins sticking in my knees, but i couldnt have
carried the big heavy object in the boot, just gotta wait for the ground to
thaw out & I can bury him..err it...

It snowed last Friday night in Bedford then stayed below zero all day
but I managed to do 300 miles in the day.

These are perfect conditions for honing my cold weather riding
techniques before the winter starts properly. I'll be trying to get
some different tyres fitted on Saturday so I can throw a few studs in
    them and go mental.

I worked from home, so the answer's no. Mind you, it's been a superb
    day, albeit a tad cold.

Had vredesteins on the Volvo - Snowtracs, I think they were. Not sure
what's on the R36, TBH, but it'll be a more specialisecd one, on 17"
rims, with rim protection to spare the winter alloys. TBH I suspect
the difference between different makes is insignificant cmopared to
    the summer/winter tyre diff, IYSWIM.
Hehe. Round here, of course, they're almost the norm, but even so many
folk drive stupidly cautiously. I too enjoy overtaking long lines at
    full throttle.
Not sure I'd go that far. Even in Alpine countries it's not a rule as
such - just that some roads, in some conditions, require you to have
'suitable' equipment, which may just be chains.
That's something you just don't see here, TBH. But I think that's more
to do with them (big trucks) not being used on many smaller roads, and
local trucks all having proper tyres on them.

But it will take many of these 20mph twats off the road and dissuade the
more competent but Pikey cunts, leading to more useable roads for me. Me.
    Meh.
Every single winter snow the first thing that happens here is trucks
blocking the major roads, so yes we really need it. It's £400 on top of the
cost of running a truck ffs.

  7. I forgot to re-edit. I have the rest of it, but the crack in the frame
put it off the road for a few months. It's not it bad nick otherwise.
It's the same as the old UKRM slutbike - the one in the vid of Lozzo
    drifting about in a field.

I saw three bikes / scooters as I crawled towards Debden in the GT this
    morning. Bloody lunatics.
Are you just off Tottenham Court Road?

  11. Home! One and a half hours. Winter trials riding, basically. Suzuki
GN250s rock in the snow: soft engine, no weight, low seat, and the
steering lock of a dirt bike.

    Never seen gridlock like it.

From there it was like entering a winter wonderland.

I drove over to Leeds from Bolton today and never saw a single flake of
    falling snow.

A little bit had been sprinkled around during the night, but **** all to get
    excited about.
