...that needs a home? I'm currently commuting from one side of Bristol
to the other, and while the R1 is great fun to play on now that I've
found a few twisty routes to and from work, I really dont' want to keep
commuting on it everyday. So I'm on the look out for a SOB or
something to commute on if anyone has anything laying around. Let me
know, email is bikerrockchick at gmail dot com.

Hehe, na, sold the shop beginning of June & moved to sunny Brizzle a
few weeks ago ) Hence the need for a SOB. Don't really want to be
commuting everyday on the R1, love being out on the bike, but need
    summat else too.

Well, I have a free MZ, the only problem being that the engine is in
bits in a couple of stacker boxes.

Just catching up with my accountancy charter qualifications and putting
my degree to use again. Working at Brizzle airport as management
accountant for a few months while things stop spinning a little!
Staying at chez Statto for a while till I sort myself out with a place
    here.

Hence being able to hoon over to Avebury (when not taking cat to vets
that is!) So will get over to met up there at some point over the next
    few weeks for sure.

hehe, thank you for the thought, but I think I'd be somewhat stumped at
    putting a bike back together!

He's not. He happened to have a spare room where I wanted to live -
mother north of Brizzle, dad south and cousins locally with a fair
number of mates around too. Seemed liek a plan while I sort out a
    plcae of my own really.

    Blimey, that's a fair old side-step.
Ah yes, I remember you saying you were going there tonight. Don't blame
you for not bothering - it's been pissing it down.

Ewww the entire extended fork length with no load on the spring is only
    785. That's 11cm shorter than this 9R front end, doesn't sound right??
I measured from the very base of the fork under the wheel spindle up to
the top of the anodised section where the top nut screws in? that was
    895mm

I will double check my measurement of the overall fork too.
