Anyone near Leeds?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Harry Bloomfield, Jan 7, 2005.

  1. Hi,

Is there anyone near Leeds able to test an motorcycle electronic item
and write a letter confirming that the item is faulty please?

I'm in dispute with the supplier of the item and Barclaycard, are
unwilling to do anything without such a letter from someone independant
    of the dispute.

ELECTRICS. Anything from a component to a complete rewire, we will uprate
your electrics and lights to life in the 21st century. We LOVE sorting out
electrics and can supply parts and solutions to any problem you might have.

His mobile number is on the site, and he lives in Leeds. And he's a whizz
    with electronics.

Did you actually bother to look at the site before you replied to my post?

I do not actually need a 'whizz', I just need someone (anyone) who can
slap a gadget across a battery and be able to say in writing that it
    don't work ;-)

Nothing more difficult than simply putting a bulb across a 12v battery
and saying it don't light up.

Barclaycard: So you got someone competent to check this then?
Harry: No. Just some wanka with a battery and a couple of jump leads.
Supplier: How do we know he didn't **** it whilst testing it?
Barclaycard: We're staying out of this one....

  12. Well, Harry, I live in Wakefield (8 miles south of Leeds), and I have a
    multimeter!

However, if I have to travel to the item, rather than vice-versa, then
(sorry to be mercenary) it's going to cost you one way or another!
