Anyone want an old Honda 500-Four N Reg

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Grassy Knollington, Feb 15, 2006.

  1. It needs a lot of work, but it just keeps on going!

Probably wants a strip down and rebuild, front forks a bit twisted after
    small accident (not my fault...)

  7. Define incredibly cheap... I'm angling for suggestions of value in its
present condition, I'm not that near mid wales but not that far, in
Leicester. Could probably deliver if I can get a lift back to next major
town with a station or national express hub.

Its on the road and amazes me how it just keeps going, even on long
(130 mile) trips which I did until recently without even worrying about if
the bike would make it... Brissle to Leicestah (and back). I've had it
about 10 years, spares available through David Silver Spares (even a large
    bore kit).

I'll post a link with some photos in next couple of days.

I'd like it to go to someone who can/will restore it to its former glory.

Got to say, they are a great shape bike. (and quite nippy)

Failing that, anyone know a good motorcycle engineer/shop in Leicester
thats good value/quality and will work on old bikes.

It's what I suspected but I didn't want to show myself up because he's

Not really. I think he's more of the "take you up de end ov de car park
an' give you a right good kickin'" persuasion.

But I stand to be corrected, obviously. It is entirely possible that
he's a master of wit and repartee in disguise.

    Heavy disguise.

probably quite low, I'll give it a bit of thought,
DIY, Yeah, thats the alternative... Not a case of needing to learn
though, used to stripping bikes down.. Just a pain...

I'd been wondering why you hadn't lifted your ugly head over the
    parapet to have this one.

I'd have been interested if I hadn't picked another bike up this
    morning.
