    Heyelp!

Does anyone have a side pod that will fit the right hand of an Arai
    Astro please?

Mine decided to pop out on Sunday and snap the clip at the same time :/

Your local Arai shop, or maybe ebay?

heh. I was looking at the RX7GP's at the Crossan bus today, they are
lovely bits of kits, and weigh *nothing*, but at £580, its just too much.

Loads of life left in the Astro yet, fucking stupid design mechanism
though, in that once that tiny little clip goes the entire visor comes off.

Are you not based on the IOM?

Do Arai not have a base at the Grandstand where they service helmets?

I've still got my Astro J, it's getting on in years, but hasn't seen that
    much use.
For 500 sovs, that'll stay with me till I'm in me box! As it only gets used
about 3 times a year I doubt the hair grease etc body fluids will rot it
    that much.

I might have one - I'll have a lok later.
Like Lesley said, if it were me I'd get myself down to the grandstand.

It's a good job that these new Arai mechanisms & side-pods are
    foolproof, eh?

    Is his the new mechanism?

I occasionally used to have the 'old' mech side-pods pop off, and
found it bloody difficult to get them back on again. I don't think
I've ever had one of the new ones pop off.

I've got a couple of RHS pods in black, but they're the X-type, for the
Quantum/f and the like. Astros etc need the later J-type.

Mine's an Astro R with 2007 stamped on the strap, so it
will do for a while as yet too.
