My left one fits as snug as a bug... but my right.... never seem to
    get it right.

    What am I doing wrong?

Nothing at all, it's just that you need calibrating. Any local
engineer should be able to machine them to a better tolerance.

  3. It's unlikely they're the same size. Most other parts of our so-called
'symmetrical' bodies are. Different tits, cheeks, livers, bollocks, etc.
If we were a manufactured product I'd be taking mine back for a refund.

Nothing. Your tits are likely to be different cup sizes too.

Seriously, I'm fine with some plugs (the yellow EAR plugs) but others,
like the current orange rubbery jobbies need rolling a bit tighter for
the right ear - and sometimes the end biting off as my left ear canal
    appears to be shorter.

As others already stated, you're doing nothing wrong, we're not perfectly
symmetrical. Apart from that, in my case it's also a matter of "angle of
approach", as I'm not inserting the plugs in exactly the same thing with the
left and the right hand (despite being reasonably ambidextrous). Try
changing the way you insert the one giving you trouble, you might get better
    results.
