Aren't 450s small?

Went to collect the 450, earlier.

The bike was probably better than described, TBH. I can't see any sign of
the claimed fork seal leak and the tyres are nowhere near as worn as he
said. The mileage is actually just over 26K, as opposed to the 28K in the
    listing.

The ride home was... interesting. The bike feels more like a 125, when sat
on it, but I adjusted to this pretty quickly. The engine has a fair bit of
go, considering, but it doesn't like full throttle in the top 2 gears. I
    suspect a clogged air filter.

It took some effort to maintain 70 over the hills on the M62 - not
enjoying full throttle didn't help - yet it went pretty well on the A580.
It screamed up to an indicated 90. Allegedly.

Overall, great for my daily commute, good enough for fastish A- roads, but
not much fun on the motorway.

I guess I've got to re-tune my brain - I've been spoiled by riding bikes
that don't take much effort to get past 100mph.

Now to find a rack to fit. There's a bloke somewhere near Newcastle has
one on ebay... but he refuses to post it - collection only. Pillock!

Now to get a new MOT on the Tig and move it on.... and start looking for
    the next big bike.....

Guzzi California... perhaps a ZRX1200s.... who knows.......?

My CB500 felt (and sounded) a lot better once I had fitted the race can to
    it.

Hmm... not really into spending money on it - its just a commuter and
backup. Besides - the zorst is in fine nick.

The one on my old CB was fine too. The race can seemed to make it pick up a
lot quicker though, and sounded glorious in enclosed spaces [1].

I put the original back on when I sold the bike, and ebayed the race can for
more than I paid for it.

I have a feeling you shouldn't have much trouble finding a rack. A racing
    exhaust, however..

The chap who bought my old zorst was going to be fitting it to his CB500 Cup
    machine.

  8. I'm driving from Glasgow to Hitchin on Tuesday and I can take a minor
    detour if that helps.

Thanks, but the guy sent me a private reply to my enquiry. It was rather
abrasive, so he can take his rack and ram it up his ring. And twist it.

I'm going to have a mooch round a local breaker, cos I also want a screen
to keep the shit off in winter.
