Trying to source bits for my GT250 rebuild, and others are at it too, but
they're mad, one paid near twenty quid for a cable guide (£3.50 ish from
Suzuki). 101 quid for a fuel cap (madness) and over 100 quid for a seat. At
this rate I won't bother to rebuild I'll part it out!!

I'm getting my seat rebuilt by Veadki, near Stroud, when I get round to
    it.

I asked them about three years ago about the GT250, and they had
everything necessary, including the base, apart from the stainless trim
strip. If you've got that, they'll do the whole lot, and much better
than I could do it myself. They did the Beemer's seat beautifully (I
welded up the base plate on that and got it powder coated first).

They quoted me about 80-100 for the Suzuki seat, but as that's to as-new
condition, I think it's a good deal. YMMV.

More like a new one with a buggered trim :)

Solid base, solid foam, strap and no splits in the cover oh and "SUZUKI" is
clear and white. just the trim is knackered.

That's the unobtanium bit, and 80 UKP for a rebuild is still good value
(if they provide the base). Sorry I couldn't help you more, sir.

You're not wrong, luckily (and perversely) the bike came with a knackered
seat, the only good bit of which (spookily) is, the trim!!

    Ain't life wonderful sometimes.
