Oxford First Time, the ones that don't have a lifetime warranty. They
are ok as occasional use luggage goes. I had some for a few years until
I got the Lifetime Sports stuff

All my Oxford luggage is like new, mainly because they've replaced a
few bits under their warranty with no questions asked. What's gone
wrong have been silly little things like zips wearing out. I can't say
    a bad word about them.

I bought an old Sovereign Lifetime tankbag for a tenner off SteveH cos
it had a semi-knackered zip, then got it exchanged for a new and much
better spec Sports tankbag under warranty. That was swopped for a newer
and different style Sports tankbag that was sent to replace my ex
Tori's, which had stitching fail. She couldn't get the new one to fit
properly on her Fireblade so she had my one instead.

A Sports pannier burst a zip, I took it into a stall at the BMF show
and they replaced it FOC on the spot. Truth be known I seriously
overloaded the pannier and that's why the zip failed.

My Sports tailpack has been used and abused for years and is still like
    new.

As long as they keep replacing worn out bits I'll keep liking them.

There's one the Argos shop in Swindon that I'll be driving past in about
    2 hours.

If anyone wants it and then wants it URed then let me know

They're not cheap enough. They're good value but they're not cheap.

But that's my point, it shouldn't need to be being replaced as you've
just pointed out that you keep breaking their stuff / their stuff isnt
    up to scratch.

Granted that might be good customer service to replace, one item i'd be
thankful for but not 3 or 4, that's a theme I'd not be happy with.

Not unlike my car we bought 2nd hand from a dealer just over 2 years
    ago.

It came with a full 12 month warranty thank god and believe me it was
well used, things replaced over that 12 months included two windscreen
washer pumps, dysphager pulley and cam belt, front offside suspension
mountings, complete digital dashboard, rear boot lock, electronic
handbrake assy, battery, and other smaller fiddly bits.

Now, granted it all got done and didnt cost me any money but I would
rather have had no warranty and nothing go wrong than have had all the
hassle and time wasted on me when it really wasnt a time in my life
where i could afford to be fucking about with a car and needed to be
    concentrating on other matters.

Certainly one thing for sure, added to my "never buy from oxford
    products" is Renaults :)

I got about halfway through that list before deciding it must be French.
    Quelle surprise.

I've owned this stuff for ten years, and it's been overloaded, thrown
in the hold of aeroplanes, kicked into corners of pit garages and tents
and abused in every way just about every time it's been used. Tori's
tankbag used to get crammed with all her college stuff every day for
three years, until a zip edge started to fray... then it got returned
    for free replacement.

The quality of it is great, it would last an average user a lifetime
and then some, but I was abusing my stuff nearly every day for years so
it's inevitable that eventually something will fail. If you buy
something without a lifetime warranty, then you'll be forking out extra
every time that fails, which it will and with greater regularity.

You can't really beat the Oxford Lifetime stuff for quality and the
warranty - it's buy once and never have to buy again for as long as you
    live luggage

I think thats how it's spelt, certainly its the phonetic version :)

It's some sort of extra pulley on the cam belt to do with renault
engines that have variable valve timing, if i had my way it'd be va va
    boom not va va voom.

there's a myriad of common faults on these feckers that have been
discovered in the last year or so too so as soon as ive paid it off im
getting shot of the fecker before anything else goes wrong with it.

Its a shame as i actually like the drive / usability / etc of the car
but it's like waiting for the other shoe to drop all the time.

    No it isn't!

    Dephaser != dysphager

    Still none the wiser.

    <quick google>
Oh. Part of the variable valve timing.

Ah well, it's the phonetic version of what the bloke at Renault called
    it.

So, yet another reason not to use the cunts, they cant even call it the
    correct name.
