Army surplus panniers?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Whinging Courier, Dec 10, 2006.

  1. Where can I get some or some like it?

You know the sort, green and webbed, not waterproof and deffo not Oxford
luggage shite. I just want something to bring my allowance of fags and
    cigars back in May.

Do you know what I mean? I'm sure I saw I post a while back with
something of sweller's adorned in such a thing/things...

Google's not being a lot of help but then I've gulped my way through
quite possibly the best homebrew I've made in months and even though
I've used all the keywords I can think of, I'm coming up a blank.

    Cheers, m' dears.

As this is a TOGTour I suggest you *need* something waterproof.

Oh, and you won't get cheap fags in Dieppe or Calais. You'll need to go
across to Belgium: BGN knows the drill.

I'll have to WAP my phone and get a postcode for tobacco alley...

High jacking the thread a bit, My Baby[1] has just been telling me that
around Wanstead and parts west of there they call a paki a "Dhulli."

Anybody know the term and care to speculate on it's origin?

[1] She has been out on the piss with her ginger mate Emma and I had to
go round there and fetch her. I haven't seen Emma for a couple of years
but she fills her Black Hot Pants Clubbing Outfit with what can only be
described as Legs a treat she does. Oh I could but sadly she won't.

Please don't call me your baby.
That's 'cause they look like Llamas, innit.
I luv burds called Emma. I like redheads, too.

You wanna introduce me and possibly get rich into the bargain?

She is utterly fucking gorgeous, utterly. You would be a distinct
improvement over the type of bloke she normally attracts. Stella
drinkers iykwim. My Baby says that she wants a part of the deal too,
something to do with her being her mate and all that and cash will do
nicely as she has a bike to finance and all that.

  9. Urm.... I'm trying to recall the name of the Army Surplus place close to
Crapital Radio. Lawrence Corner? It's in the Hampstead Road, just Norf of
    Euston Tower.

  11. Wahay! It's Laurence Corner with a U, and according to a bit of googling,
it's still there. (What odd recess of the attic I call my memory did *that*
    emerge from?)

"that 70's show" quite a lot due to the horniest redhead I've seen in a
    while....

If its vehicles you want, try Witham Specialist Vehicles, they've a good
selection of well cared for (?) ex-MOD vehicles. Their web-site
http://www.witham-sv.com/index1.html has some interesting products - just a
pity I couldn't persuade the other half that snow clearance here in Canada
is worth the price shown on the web-site.

Eh? Crapital Radio's in Leicester Square, darling :)

Lawrence Corner? That's a new one. Will have to check A-Z when I get to
work. I know where Hampstead Road Road is..

Hmm.. ISTR there's one in Victoria somewhere, too, just on the other
    side of Vauxhall Bridge Road...

I knew of them when I was despatching and they were overpriced then, but
    Jeez!

Thanks for finding and reminding, though, at least I know what it is I'm
    looking for now. Canvas!

It's funny how simple words slip the brain.

If you're looking for a business venture, I met a guy in Ottawa who was

    Canada.
