Army surplus panniers?

  1. Arse. :) Sort of behind where they used to be when they were on the Euston
Road. I keep thinking of it as being close to the Logica offices, but they
went a decade ago, I think.
It's pretty close to the underpass end, if you see what I mean.
    Dunno that one.

It's in an archway on the south side of the gyratory system, behind the
bus station. You access it from a little lane on the west side just past
the bridge on the right. It backs onto the archway units on South
    Lambeth Road.

I'll pretend I just didn't waste at least ten seconds of my life looking
at those, you piece of unrequited love muscle.

I still need to look but the underpass end, I know where you mean.
<Does hand flap like it "don't mean nuffing">

    It's there somewhere.

  8. Sorry. I always got called Ali Baba. Must be some tenuous race memory or
something. Crap gag, anyhow... <shuffles off for a glass of wine.>

That'll do it but I'm taking the ratbike on the French trip and the back
    of it looks like this:

Or this once I've sat on it:

So I'm after some canvas jobbies that go over the seat and you sit-on
    the-wide-strap type.

At a push I could get myself a couple of kit-bags and bungee them on but
this isn't ideal, as you may imagine.

A tank bag isn't really an option and I don't particularly want to take
    my XT.

From that photo it seems you already have your luggage issues sorted...

Bad form but heh, I'm letting the expanding belly syndrome wind me up.

Of course, I could do a BGN and break down when I get there but that
would spoil the enjoyment of bringing a load of stuff back.

I might just bung a couple of courier bags on it.

Yeah, I wonder if I could hire a nice curtain-sider to take my bike to
Dieppe and then bring a fuckload of fags, booze and purfume back.
Somehow I think I'd need a bigger shed.

I may well take you up on it.

I wanted to avoid tankbags but the reality is I may have to succumb.
