Rubble sacks are a better bet. They're much stronger than bin liners and
    reuseable.

  3. Well, I can be, yes. What time? If it's lateish, I get home at 6.30pm,
but can arrange to be earlier. The Chateau is quite close to The Den Of
Iniquitous Temptation, I mean, Carl Rosner.

They were a bargain, about to time out. And I had a mate who's about to
subscribe to Ebay standing by, watching how it works. So I said: "Look,
these are a bargain, and nobody seems to be bidding, so I'll put in a
    bid.....

And two minutes later won them for £31.10.

I was dead chuffed. Collected them in person, and when I got home,
looked for a hook in the garage to hang them on, and noticed...

....the set I'd already bought. Ho hum.

Good idea. A bit like the special rucksack liner SWMBO has except much
cheaper. TBF I have been using the same two heavy duty garden waste bags
for years. Pretty strong and big enough to fold over and tuck down well
    inside the pannier.

In any case for this trip I will be tank bag and tail packing (well a
tail pack on the pillion). Still the same waterproofing method in both
though. A throwback to the days when the most expensive luggage I had
was a pair of ex WD canvas panniers.

You can borrow mine - Oxford Sports. And I think I'm a fair bit closer to
    you.

Yes, I know you're just up the road.

Earlier would be a bit better if you can do it. I've just told them
that I'll take it in to them mid-afternoon and they've said it'll take
    an hour or so.

I'm sure I could be around until 6.30 if needs be though.

    Cheers. Where are you again?

I'm getting inundated with offers now, but I'll still try for TOG's set
    first.

  14. I'll take both. That way, if I lose all sense and decide to do some
shopping I've got somewhere to strap it to the tank.

Now to hatch a plan of nicking a hotel towel as not to scratch my tank.

  16. I'll give you a ring later. I'll have to collect tomorrow if it's a goer
but unless you're going to be in London, it might not be worth it with
    the travelling and fuel.

I may be in London on Friday, but that's prolly too late.

Tomorrow I am in court, looking to get some nasty people badly spanked
for not doing what the nice man told them to do.
