  1. Sadly I can't use the bike for this one but...

BiL has pegged it and I and obliged to go and say nice things about him
next Tuesday in the company of people I have spent my life avoiding. The
upshot is that I am going to lose a nights sleep.

Now this wasn't a problem in the good old days when I had ready access
to piles of amphetamines but times have changed and I am going to have
    to "Red Bull it".

So the question is:- Which of the booster drinks on the market are
going to give me maximum easily converted sugars and caffeine in the
largest doses and are they any better than a mug of strong sweet coffee?

New lifestyle drug of choice. Get it at your local internet pharmacy:

Forget those - get an over the counter decongestant that has has ephidrine
such as "Do Do Chesteze" and take more than the recommended dose.
Psuedoephedrine based products such as Sudafed also work but not as well.
Failing that get some "Hot Lava Java" coffee - up to twice the normal
caffeine levels and a nice cuppa.

I'd go for piles of amphetamines. Why are these of the menu?

No but several US internet pharmacies claim they can deliver to the UK.
Never tried getting drugs by post myself, they certainly wouldn't get past
the robbing bastards at the local Parcel Force depot, even if they got through
customs. I think I'll try some next time I have to work over a Saturday night.

    "Jolt Cola".

It worked for me when I did Seattle to Anchorage in 4 days.
