The (still) pictures I saw of the hanging were appalling. The executioneers looked like members of the Prov. IRA wearing 1980s East German leather jackets, all ready to go and watch Status Quo when they'd finished. Saddam looked like a dignified old gent. Not one of the greatest PR coups.
